Marina at Wedgwood, Staffordshire
25 acre, 141 Berth Canal Boat Marina and Associated Facilities in the location of the Former Wedgwood Pottery Estate
- The 25 Acre Marina Development Site was acquired by CB Collier in 2022. The site formed part of the wider Masterplan of the Wedgwood Estate in Barlaston, Staffordshire
- The adjacent Wedgwood Estate now accommodates the main pottery factory building, large high-end residential community, corporate office accommodation, showrooms, factory outlet store, visitors’ centre, museum and high-end restaurants
- The proposed marina development site consists of a parcel of land to the north of Wedgwood drive (6.66 Acres) bounded on the East and West side by the railway line and the Trent and Mersey Canal. The Land to the South of Wedgwood Drive (19.04 Acres) will be used for the Marina Spoil Land, as per the planning permission
- The 141 Berth Canal Boat / Cruiser Marina, which includes one maintenance and one disabled berth, will be linked to the Trent and Mersey Canal Network
- The marina will have associated facilities, including an operating crane and a facilities building to include toilet and shower provision and an office for administration
- The facilities building and disabled parking is to the South of the site, with a separate access from Wedgwood Drive
- The fuel tank, refuse and recycling area and biodisk will be accommodated to the South of the site close to the vehicular entrance
- We have now made a meaningful start on site to activate the consent, including; utility diversions, access improvements and site investigations
